Home of the Brave(s)
I've driven by the Diamond and read about its mascot for longer than I care to remember. Harry and I were invited to a Braves game today and although I hesitated attending it proved to be a lovely way to spend the afternoon. The air brushed our bare arms like cool silk and the game was made even better with box seats reserved for patrons and artists of the Firehouse Theatre Project!
It was interesting... watching actors take in the game. I normally see most of these people on stage or close to the stage or engaged in conversation - not watching. As I took in the game and the theatre of taking in the game I yearned for a life which allowed more room for such experiences. Hunton and Williams sponsored this gathering so we need to count corporate support of the arts as another blessing!
