First Friday in December

Once again I missed the chance to own a lovely piece of art that would have come home with us. The cats would have loved this beautiful bird by Susann Whittier but it had sold by the time we arrived at 1708. There is always a great deal of good work to choose from but this piece would have fit right in between Whittier's beer label dog head which we won at a Katrina Auction and the Walter Anderson figurines I brought home from Ocean Springs, MS many years ago: before Katrina, before the Walter Anderson museum, before the time space became such an issue in our life. Most days I feel like we need to to get rid of everything and move to France.
