Birthday Party
WRIR, radio for the rest of us, will celebrate its 3rd birthday on February 1, which is also First Friday. It looks like it could be an interesting evening full of art and the music of Erin Tobey, the beloved No BS Brass Band, Dead Goats and one of our faves, TULSA DRONE.
It starts at 7pm, a little too early for the gallery goers but I think TD are the headliners and will perform near the end of the evening closer to 11pm. Admission is $3 if you have a birthday postcard and $10 of you don't! Tickets can be purchased at the door of the Renaissance Ballroom, located at 107 W. Broad St on the evening of the show. WRIR DJ's will be in action with slam poetry, birthday cake and a singuarly unique crowd - the rest of us - filling the ballroom.
