      music to dance to

Marionette is heading in to the studio again for the next several months with a new member: Tom Brickman. Tom has been a member of some of my favorite local bands - The Ululating Mummies when they once filled the stage at the FLOOD ZONE and the more intimate Broken Hips, to name a few. I am thrilled he'll be with one of our new fave bands, Marionette.

To celebrate their new venture Marionette is performing a free show this Thursday at 9pm at Toad's Place on the Canal Walk. The Try Hard Spring Band will also be performing - described as "
a hot jazz trio with members of SPECIAL ED AND THE SHORT BUS. Think Django Rienhardt, Swing Kids, or a Woody Allen Movie with just strings."

      Labels: music, Richmond
